SKIN AND TISSUE TIGHTENING
A
variety of lasers has now been approved for treatment of wrinkles
and skin tissue tightening.
According to a study performed by Candela
Corporation,
the long pulsed 1064 nm laser with dynamic cooling has now been shown
to give the same tightening if not even better response of lifting
and tightening
the skin, than the best radiofrequency-based procedure. According to
Douglas Key M.D. of Portland Oregon, the 1064 nm, variable pulsed Nd:
YAG laser
is a “workhorse” for laser Medicine, with established capabilities
for treating leg veins and hair removal, as well as being most “forgiving” laser
wavelength for patients of darker skin color. The thermal injury created
by the 1064 nm wavelength, attributable to the absorption coefficients
of its main targeted melanin and hemoglobin, and, to a much lesser
extent, water, has now been proven to also provide collagen contraction
and improvement
in skin tightening and lifting.

before/after picture section of our website for viewing of a few
of the many skin and
tissue tightening procedures that we have to offer.

RADIESSE RECEIVES FDA APPROVAL
RADIESSE, “the next generation cosmetic dermal filler,” has
just received FDA clearance for moderate to severe facial lines and wrinkles,
including nasolabial folds (pictures to the right).
In clinical
studies, and in private practice, physician experience has shown that
RADIESSE lasts longer than the former leading filler, consistently
outperforming hylauronic acid and collagen products. Only RADIESSE contains
advanced
calcium-based microspere technology that stimulates the growth of new
collagen. It also fills and volumizes to provide you with an immediate
and long-lasting correction.
RADIESSE consists of calcium
hydroxylapatite (CaHA), which has been safely used for decades in various
clinical
applications. The tiny, CaHA microspheres, suspended in a water-based
gel carrier,
form a “scaffold” that stimulates the natural growth
of the patients own collagen.
Please call one of our consultants
to find out more information on how longer-lasting RADIESSE can
help you
eliminate fine lines and wrinkles.
