Dermal Filler
What to Expect:
There are several types of fillers available on the market, each formulated for specific concerns. Here at Monarch Medispa, we use a Hyaluroinc Acid Filler (Restylane): Ideal for restoring volume and hydration. Restylane Kysse (lip volume & lines), Restylane Lyft (cheeks/midface), Restylane Refyne (mild-mod lines), Restylane Defyne (deeper lines/folds/chin), and Restylane Contour (cheeks).

1. Arrival and Preparation
When you arrive at your dermal filler appointment, your provider will review the steps with you again and address any last-minute questions. The treatment area will be thoroughly cleansed to remove bacteria and reduce the risk of infection.

To minimize discomfort, a topical numbing cream is usually applied for about 15–20 minutes. Some filler products also contain lidocaine, a mild anesthetic, to further reduce discomfort during the dermal filler procedure.

2. Marking the Injection Sites
Your injector will carefully evaluate your facial anatomy and mark the precise points for injection. These markings serve as a guide to ensure accurate, symmetrical placement of the filler, contributing to natural-looking results. This careful mapping is crucial in delivering the enhancements you’re looking for while maintaining facial harmony.

3. Injection Process
The actual dermal filler procedure typically takes between 15 and 30 minutes, depending on the size and location of the treatment area. Using a very fine needle or cannula, the filler is injected beneath the skin with careful, controlled movements.

You may experience a brief pinch or gentle pressure during treatment. Numbing agents and a vibrating distraction tool are used to enhance comfort, making discomfort generally minimal and well tolerated.
